Warm Brains To Release Single In July, Reveals Album Details
Debut album ‘Old Volcanoes’ will be released later in the year.
Warm Brains, the new project from Rory Atwell (Test Icicles / Kasms), will release a new single next month.
Double A-Side ‘Let Down’ / ‘Stone To Sand To Glass’ will be available from 18th July via Mashall Teller Records.
Speaking about the first of the two tracks, Atwell says:
‘I’ve always been a fan of upbeat, danceable, messy indie rock that has a hint of melancholy. I think musically it shares similarities With American Alt. Rock bands, such as a more upbeat Sebadoh or Pavement track, or perhaps The Rat by the Walkmen, but with a more British sensibility and a trademark dour English vocal delivery to balance out the frivolity. The song also features vocals of Paradise lead singer Florence Van Camerijk.”
The release follows on from previous single ‘Old Volcanoes’ - also the title of his forthcoming debut album, which is due out later in the year (date TBC) with the following tracklisting:
01. Worried Seed
02. Old Volcanoes [Album Version]
03. Let Down
04. Rotunda
05. Marble Arch
06. Drunk Driver
07. This Salt Makes Me Sick
08. Painting 2ft Tall Lines
09. Hit The Floor
10. Weird Eyes
11. Stone To Sand To Glass
