Watch a new NSFW, strobe heavy video from Arca

Alejandro Ghersi’s disturbing alter ego returns in a new video.

Arca has shared a new video for the title-track of his debut album Xen. Teaming up with Jesse Kanda again, the clip’s imagery continues the violent and uneasy viewing that ‘Thievery’ produced.

Strobe lights flicker at a naked figure (which Arca claims to be a fictional alter ego of himself), acting as a trigger for the subject to dance in a sensual, vigorous manner. The Venezuelan producer states ‘Xen’ “is about violent joy washing over the body, a celebration of sensuality and of unhinging oneself in the face of struggle.”

Last month Arca confirmed his production duties to the forthcoming Bjork album. Arca and Jesse Kanda hit the road in Europe before the end of the year; you catch them on the dates below and read Joe Price’s album review here.
