Watch: Animal Collective’s Recording Sessions For ‘Strawberry Jam’ Compressed Into 9 Minutes

Animal Collective’s ‘Strawberry Jam’ was recorded back in 2007 and was later released to critical acclaim. We’ve just been given an insight into how that very album was made. The band have shared a nine-minute-long video consisting of footage of the recording the entire album.

Producer of the album, Scott Colburn set up a camera to take short clips at one minute intervals as the band recorded.

Colburn said of the footage: “Our tracking session for Strawberry Jam in Tucson at Wavelab Studios in 2007. We post this about 2 weeks before we will be heading into the studio to begin recording our next record. Thanks to everyone for being part of our world.”
