During an encore at Mexico City’s Pepsi Center, Thom Yorke’s Atoms For Peace launched right into a cover of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Got To Give It Up’. A strange, funny companion to the percussionist noodling that defines their excellent debut full-length on XL.

What’s notable about their cover is that it’s this very song Robin Thicke’s landed accusations of copyright infringement with, for his ‘Blurred Lines’ hit. Thicke’s been embroiled in various legal disputes with Marvin Gaye’s family and Bridgeport music.

Beyond all this, the cover confirms Thom Yorke’s having a lot of fun these days.
