Watch: Ballet School Air ‘Heartbreak Overdrive’ Video
Berlin trio get analogue for their new video - the results are as pleasing as the band’s shiny jackets.
The skilled, Cocteau-Twins-tied refreshing glimpse of Ballet School has gained a new video, in ‘Heartbeat Overdrive’.
Cathal O’ Brien directs the latest clip, placing Rosie Blair in suitably sparkly 80s-referencing attire and filming the band’s every move through an analogue aesthetic. Many videos stumble at this hurdle of trying to add a retro sheen to the game, but Ballet School’s ‘Breakfast Club’ ready, hyped-up attitude is perfectly tailor-made for such a trend.
‘Heartbeat Overdrive’ is released on Bella Union, 19th August, as a 12’ single.
