Watch Bastille get a bit surreal in the new ‘Good Grief’ video
Severed heads, gameshow winners and bank heists all get a look-in in their new strange clip.

Bastille have revealed their brand new video for ‘Good Grief’ and, well, good grief, it’s a bit strange.
A myriad of repeated scenes, which sooner or later, do fall into place, the clip follows all manner of weird and wonderful events. Kicking off with the band’s frontman in a telephone box, before he’s next spotted as just a head, it’s a brilliantly surreal set of visuals that includes gameshow winners, bank heists and a man who seems to be running for no reason…
“We were excited to be able to work with NYSU on the video which was shot over six or so days in Madrid,” the band have said, in a press release. “It is like a mad visual Rubik cube that takes a load of archetypal narrative scenarios and then twists and collides them together. We wanted to make something fun and chaotic and surreal that would serve as a fittingly odd accompaniment to the song.”
You can watch the video - which accompanies the first track to come from their new album ‘Wild World’ - below. Be warned though - it is a lil’ bit NSFW.
