Watch: Beck Plays New Song ‘Wave’ With Los Angeles Philharmonic
New track is an exciting glimpse of Beck’s ‘Morning Phase’ album.
Ahead of the February 2014 release of ‘Morning Phase’ (and a whole other full-length, if recent quotes are anything to go by), Beck debuted a new song titled ‘Wave’ in LA last night, alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
‘Wave’ is taken from the new album - whether it’ll take the grand orchestral form that it did at the Walt Disney Concert Hall remains to be seen. It’s a soaring giant of a track in this form, at least; Beck taking centre stage with a dramatic string backing.
The show was held to showcase material from Beck’s Song Reader release, with special guests such as Jenny Lewis and Anne Hathaway joining Beck for performances.
