Watch: Childhood Return With New Track, Video ‘Haltija’
One of the UK’s most promising new bands have given us their finest song to date.
Childhood received their first nugget of DIY praise back in September of last year and since then they’ve slowly built up a fine array of promising gems, none more so than their latest effort.
‘Haltija’, named after a protective elf or gnome - something to do with Finnish mythology, we’ve been reliably informed by Wikipedia - is a gorgeously deft, warm song, with psychedelic guitars the ingredient of choice. It’s right up there with a choice cut from the latest Real Estate album, or any other sun-kissed song suitable for picnics and cold beers.
