Watch: Connan Mockasin Airs ‘Do I Make You Feel Shy?’

Like pretty much everything he puts his name to, Connan Mockasin flips the karaoke formula on its head in a video for ‘Do I Make You Feel Shy?’ There’s no sudden rapturous rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, no boozy shouting or slipping over notes. He doesn’t even try and bring a friend on stage, as he slithers into a rendition of a song from new album ‘Caramel’, out now on Mexican Summer.

The video begins with Connan smoking outdoors and being lured in by local pub-goers into a near-empty room where he performs. He’s backed by visuals consisting of himself singing on top of mountains, staring directly into the camera. For a guy who ‘can’t sing’ (that’s his claim at the beginning of the video), he sure gains a lot of confidence during his performance.
