Watch Future Islands and Jamie T play Later… with Jools Holland
Baltimore’s Future Islands rekindled their Letterman fire with ‘Seasons (Waiting On You)’.
Last night, the latest in a new series of Later… with Jools Holland took place, with Jamie T starring as the special guest.
Returning with ‘Carry on the Grudge’, his third album, the London troubadour performed both ‘Zombie’ and ‘Rabbit Hole’.
The other big draw of last night’s show was Future Islands. Samuel T. Herring and co. ran through a performance of ‘Seasons (Waiting On You)’, reliving the impassioned set they delivered at the very start of 2014 on The Late Show With David Letterman. That guest-spot led to their brilliant, unlikely ascent this year, and almost every chest-pump and grizzly glare was replicated by the Baltimore outfit.
Elsewhere, Ali Campbell and Chastity Brown appeared on the show, with MNEK standing out on Gorgon City’s ‘Ready For Your Love’.
Next week’s edition features Manic Street Preachers, Jessie Ware and Ben Howard.
