Watch Grizzly Bear take ‘Mourning Sound’ to Colbert
Their new album ‘Painted Ruins’ is out today.

Today, Grizzly Bear have released their long-awaited new album ‘Painted Ruins’, but before unleashing the record on to the world, they unveiled a bonkers video for the single ‘Mourning Sound’ (seriously it had laser eyes, women shooting rainbows from their breasts, everything).
The levels of bonkers were decidedly turned down on their recent appearance on ‘The Late Show’ with Stephen Colbert. Bathed in red lights, the art-rockers drifted through a stately version of the track, which culminated in a very nice moment indeed when all the harmonies began to soar.
Recently, we caught up with Grizzly Bear to talk to them about ‘Painted Ruins’. Catch up with the chat here.
Watch them play ‘Mourning Sound’ below.
