Labrinth and Rival Sons also appeared on the show.

French-Cuban twins Ibeyi last night made their UK television debut by performing on Later… With Jools Holland.

The live edition also hosted performances from Labrinth, Adam Cohen, Sinead O’Connor, Rumer and Rival Sons.

Ibeyi consists of Naomi and Lisa-Kainde Diaz, a new act signed to XL Recordings. They’ve recorded their debut album with Richard Russell, and so far they’ve shared ‘River’, ‘Oya’ and ‘Mama Says’, the latter of which they played last night.

The extended edition of Jools airs tonight at 11.35pm on BBC Two.

Next week’s episode features special guests U2, plus Sam Smith, Interpol, Zola Jesus and Dave and Phil Alvin.
