Watch: Jamie XX Airs New ‘Sleep Sound’ Video

In a new video for Jamie xx’s ‘Sleep Sound’, director Sofia Mattioli puts together a beautiful clip showing how music can affect those with hearing problems. When filming, Sofia implored people to dance while having no music on in the background - they just used their imaginations.

‘I was on a train listening to music and a girl who had been staring at me for a while handed me a note explaining that she was deaf and could almost feel the music by watching me,’ explains the director on how she found her concept.

Jamie xx’s ‘Sleep Sound’ forms part of a new single b/w ‘Girl’ that comes out through Young Turks on 5th May, via 12’ and digital download.
