Watch Jay Z introduce his Tidal streaming service
That’s why Rihanna, Kanye, Beyoncé and co have blue avatars.
If you happen to follow any ‘really famous’ artists on Twitter, you may have noticed their avatars and headers turn blue this morning - that’s all thanks to Jay Z.
Part of the launch of his Tidal streaming service, Kanye, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Jack White’s Third Man Records are among the accounts involved, and it’s expected they’re among those whose respective catalogues will be available from the off on the service.
Tidal claims to be “the first music streaming service that combines the best High Fidelity sound quality, High Definition music videos and expertly Curated Editorial”.
Jay Z is launching tonight, 10pm UK time, and you can watch the presentation below. We hope he’s got a black roll-neck on in homage to the late Steve Jobs.
