Watch: Julia Holter Shares ‘Goddess Eyes II’ Video

The song features on her forthcoming single release.

After penning a deal with Domino, Julia Holter’s second album, ‘Ekstasis’, will be re-released by the label on 3rd December.

And after that, there’s the small matter of a single - ‘Goddess Eyes II’ will be released on 10th December, alongside ‘Goddess Eyes I’ and a couple of remixes.

It now has a video, as directed by Yelena Zhelezov, who describes it thus:

‘The video for Julia Holter’s ‘Goddess Eyes II’ is inspired by the Latin phrase ‘deus ex machina’. In literature, deus ex machina is a plot device for seemingly unresolvable dramaturgical situations. The unexpected and dramatic measure was employed by many Greek tragedians. It is in tribute to Euripides and the literary spirit of the song that the video was directed.’
