Nothing like a bit of grunge-folk to kick off the week, eh?
Newest Heist or Hit signing Orpine - made up of duo Eleanor Rudge and Oliver Catt - have shared sunshine-soaked newbie ‘Sondern’ with an equally sunny video to match.
The first glimpse into their forthcoming full-length ‘Grown Ungrown’, which is set for release in May, their latest track deals with “greed and defeat” and was written around the time of the first Brexit deadline, with its title ‘Sondern’ derived from an old Germanic word meaning “to separate”.
Explaining the use of the word, the two-piece explain: “I liked the idea that this use of the word is outdated and it had morphed into something it was never originally intended to be – which was a lot of the criticism being levelled at the European Union on the Leave side.”
