Watch: SZA Shares ‘Warm Winds’ Video (Feat. Isaiah Rashad)
Watch Top Dawg alumni combine to comforting effect in a new video.
SZA
and Isaiah Rashad stand apart as this year’s chosen dream team. There are double acts, sibling duos, all doing their best to oust these two, but on the basis of ‘Warm Winds’ (a take from SZA’s ‘Z’ debut) and Rashad’s ‘Ronnie Drake’ and ‘West Savannah’, there’s little denting this pair’s momentum.
Both individuals are on board with Top Dawg Entertainment, a label run by Kendrick Lamar and friends. Together, they seem to operate like a blanket of ether, doing their thing in unison. Like submerging yourself in a pillow and then chucking another pillow on top for good measure, this is comfort defined. The title ‘Warm Winds’ could refer to a gentle fart, but this is much more impressive than that least noble of acts.
SZA’s ‘Z’ is out now.
