Watch: The Acid Unveil ‘Basic Instinct’ Video
Futuristic trio give a wig-out display for their latest, minimal cut.

Remaining faceless for the time being (update: actually, they’ve just now revealed their identities), the mystique-drenched The Acid have shared a new song & video in the form of ‘Basic Instinct’. So far their productions have stayed resolutely minimal, either using swooping electronics or vocal-led acoustics. Everything’s future-bound and otherworldly. The same applies to this new video - Dugan O’ Neal directs, with Art group WIFE providing assistance. It’s essentially a jump-centric, wig-crazy work of disturbing beauty. Nothing looks real, matching up to the band’s oddball, alien quality.
It’s just been revealed that The Acid consists of Ry X (yep, that guy), producer Adam Freeland and Steve Nalepa. So there you go.
