Watch The Orwells Perform ‘Who Needs You’ On Letterman
Chicago group’s set had David Letterman demanding an encore by the end.
Anyone fortunate to see The Orwells live will know this kind of performance is a regular thing, and not just for the cameras. But it seemed to impress David Letterman enough for him to demand an encore.
The Chicago band’s performance of ‘Who Needs You’ left the host shouting ‘FINALLY!’, with Paul Shaffer even leading the house band into a mimicking rendition of the song, with Shaffer himself channelling his own Mario Cuomo by writhing around on the floor and dry humping the air. The band themselves didn’t exactly know how to respond, so it got a little uncomfortable, but this kind of televised slot is sure to put the current DIY Weekly coverstars on the map.
