Watch: Twin Shadow Covers U2’s ‘With Or Without You’

George Lewis Jr.’s collection of dramatic, heartfelt covers isn’t showing any sign of stopping. He’s previously taken on Lou Reed, Tori Amos and more under the Twin Shadow guise - whether this is building up to a big physical/digital release is anyone’s guess, but this new cover might be his best yet.

Coupled with the customary footage of him looking moody and - you guessed it - shadowed in a studio, this time round George covers U2’s ‘With Or Without You’. Out go the echoplex-ed Edge guitars, in come some warped, pitch-shifted vocals and giant synth lines that’d suit a Drive soundtrack.
