’ ‘Back to Land’ is a record that dives into fuzzy psych the friendly way. People could throw all kinds of compliments, categorisations at the band’s latest Thrill Jockey effort, but it’s unlikely anyone would declare it ‘nightmarish’.

That tradition is balked thanks to a truly terrifying worst-nightmare-come-true of a video for the album’s title-track.

It’s clown-ville. The world’s deadliest, most feared neighbourhood. Every creepy creature lurking in these suburbs seems to be doing perfectly normal things, like washing their cars, but don’t be fooled. Why are they not telling any jokes or tripping up on themselves? There must be a reason. There has to be a sinister motive.
