Waxahatchee adds dates to UK/EU tour
Katie Crutchfield adds mainland shows to May/June run.
Waxahatchee has added further dates to her UK and European run in support of her forthcoming third album.
‘Ivy Tripp’ is to be released on 7th April via Merge (US) and Wichita (rest of the world), and Crutchfield has added a slew of shows to the already partly-announced tour, with the run now extending throughout late May and June.
The tour is to take in 11 shows in the UK and Ireland, including her biggest headline show to date on these shores at London’s Electric Ballroom. Waxahatchee was also recently announced for August’s Green Man festival, alongside headliners St. Vincent and Hot Chip.
The singer also recently unveiled the first single from ‘Ivy Tripp’ in the form of ‘Air’, described as a “step up in Crutchfield’s already stellar, and growing, catalogue”. A snippet of another song set to feature on ‘Ivy Tripp’ was also teased in a blog post celebrating Crutchfield’s 26th birthday.
Waxahatchee recently played two shows in an evening at London’s St. Pancras Old Church to preview the new album. Check out DIY’s review and photos of the show here.
