Wild Beasts, Royal Blood, FKA twigs among Ivor Novello nominees
Alt-J, George Ezra and Hozier are also up for awards.

Wild Beasts, Royal Blood and FKA twigs are among the artists nominated for this year’s Ivor Novello Awards.
The awards “celebrate, honour and reward excellence in British and Irish songwriting and composing”, and celebrate their 60th Anniversary this year.
Wild Beasts, Royal Blood and Bombay Bicycle Club are all up for Best Album, while Alt-J’s ‘Every Other Freckle’ is up against Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and FKA twigs’ ‘Two Weeks’ for Best Contemporary Song.
There are additionally a series of special awards, whose winners will be announced on the night - stuff like ‘Inspiration Award’, ‘Outstanding Song Collection’, and something called the ‘Special Anniversary Award’, which doesn’t at all sound like those ones other award ceremonies *cough* invent to make sure One Direction don’t leave empty-handed.
The Ivors take place on 21st May.
