XFM Announces New Evening Mary Anne Hobbs Show

XFM have announced that May Anne Hobbs will present a daily show on their station, Monday - Thursday.

Mary Anne Hobbs will relaunch the station’s ‘Music:Response’ show, taking over the evening slot (8-11pm) from 5th September.

Of her new slot, the DJ said: “This is such an exciting new challenge for me, an unprecedented opportunity to paint much broader brush strokes on primetime radio, and build on a lifetime’s passion and hunger for new music.”

Other changes to the station’s weekday network schedule will include a new mid-morning show with Ian Camfield from 10am-2pm and a new drive-time show presented by Eoghan McDermott from 5-8pm.

Andy Ashton, the station’s Programme Director, said: “I cannot think of a better person than Mary Anne to spearhead a renewed focus on cutting edge new music in the evenings across the Xfm network. We’re incredibly excited about the changes we’ve made across the schedule as we continue to deliver ‘must listen’ shows to our rapidly growing audience.”

Mary Anne Hobbs will continue to present her Saturday night show every week from 7-10pm.
