You Me At Six won’t be playing their debut album in full at Slam Dunk
They’ll be “extensively paying homage” to ‘Take Off Your Colours’ instead.
Those complete album shows at festivals are really becoming A Thing this year - apart from at Slam Dunk, that is, where what was previously rumoured to be a full run through their debut LP ‘Take Off Your Colours’ from You Me At Six turns out to not be the case.
“The rumours are… incorrect,” frontman Josh Franceschi. “However, this being the 10th year of Slam Dunk as well as You Me At Six’s 10th year, we will be extensively paying homage to that with songs from our first record.”
Festival main man Ben Rey says: ”After seeing so many rumours flying around the internet about the You Me At Six set, I think it’s great they have let people know what they are planning to do,” he says. “Although not the whole album, I think it will be enough to give the fans what they want! I am so proud for the album to have been released on Slam Dunk Records, and after not having seen them played live for a while, it will make the weekend even more special for me. It will certainly bring back some great memories!”
Slam Dunk takes place in Leeds, Hertfordshire and Wolverhampton on 23rd, 24th and 25th May respectively. Other bands playing include Taking Back Sunday, Architects, Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis, Neck Deep, The Bronx and Moose Blood.
