Youth Lagoon Previews New LP With ‘Mute’ Track, Announces Tour
Wondrous Bughouse’ is released this Spring through Fat Possum.
Following on from the wonderful ‘Dropla’, bedroom project turned fully-fledge cult heroes Youth Lagoon have shared a new track from their forthcoming second LP ‘Wondrous Bughouse’.
The follow-up to the ‘A Year Of Hibernation’ record looks set to be a more full-bodied affair, with warm and textured songs benefiting from a bigger budget on production and more of a “band” effort than Trevor Powers’ more intimate introduction.
‘Mute’ is anything but, well…mute. Layer upon layer of thick, luscious noise circuits the scene, Powers’ vocals are dripping in echo, lyrics barely audible beneath all the overlapping furore.
The ‘Wondrous Bughouse’ tracklist:
1. Through Mind and Back
2. Mute
3. Attic Doctor
4. The Bath
5. Pelican Man
6. Dropla
7. Sleep Paralysis
8. Third Dystopia
9. Raspberry Cane
10. Daisyphobia
