are a band that divide opinion surprisingly often. Mainman Antony Hegarty’s voice is usually one of the main setbacks for the band’s detractors. But whilst his voice is by no means conventional, if any other vocals were set to accompany this beautiful song, it just wouldn’t be the same.
The song’s rich orchestral backing is perfectly suited to Antony’s soothing vocals, lulling the listener into a blissful state upon each listen. It may not be the most accesible song for daytime radio play, but the song works significantly better if the listener is already in a mellow state of mind.
For those in the right mood, ‘Epilepsy Is Dancing’ is an astounding song that packs a heavy emotional punch.
