The Conscripts - The Run Down

Upon receiving their ominous military style package and accompanying telegram orders, we were at first concerned that we might be at last called to perform our duty to society. Or at the very least do something approaching the behaviour of a real man. However, after listening to this musical shrapnel we feel we have paid most of our dues to society and ought to be allowed several weeks of convalescence hiding under a blanket by the sea. The Conscripts mean it. They really do. This is one of the most furious blasts of “meaning it” that we have ever heard. The guitars sound like they were ransacked from the dying Woolworths and the vocals are spat through the speakers like mince through a colander. Apparently their watchword is ‘Kill All Yuppies’. They may need a time machine to actually find any but we have no doubt that if they could they would.

Genuinely scary.
