Watch DIIV perform new material at sold out Brooklyn gig

Friday night (11th July) saw the first of two sold out DIIV shows at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg take place.

Footage has emerged of the band showcasing new material from a forthcoming second album on Captured Tracks, their follow-up to 2012 debut ‘Oshin’.

According to Billboard, half of the show was filled with new material, which Zachary Cole Smith and co. have been playing as far back as T in the Park festival 2013 this time last year.

Footage below sees them playing a new song, with backing guitars sounding more monstrous and colossal than ‘Oshin’, and Cole’s vocals more pronounced (something he’s been promising as a defining motif of album number two).

A new DIIV full-length is expected in late 2014 / early 2015.
