CHVRCHES’ ‘Tether’ gets gigantic Eric Prydz remix

Chvrches’ bittersweet, ‘The Bones of What You Believe’ highlight ‘Tether’ has been given a gigantic, Ibiza-ready remix from prolific DJ Eric Prydz.

Taken from a forthcoming Prydz release out later this year, his edit of ‘Tether’ premiered last night on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show.

‘Tether’ is originally taken from Chvrches’ 2013 debut LP. At the beginning of this year, the Scottish trio entered the studio to begin recording LP2.

“We sort of wanted to protect the dynamic of ‘three people in a room at once’ idea, because that’s the way that the first album came about,” Martin Doherty told DIY.

“When you’ve been on tour as much as we have been in the past two years, you don’t really have a choice. You either create on the road or you don’t do anything and the idea of coming back after three years of doing absolutely nothing - and not even working those muscles creatively - is insane.”
