Warpaint announce new album ‘Heads Up’

Oh bloody Nora, its all kicking off today, isn’t it! Warpaint have only gone and lifted the lid on their mysterious rooftop antics from late last week, announcing their third album ‘Heads Up’. It’s out on 23rd September, via Rough Trade.

Along with announcing that record of theirs, Warpaint have also shared a new song called… er, ‘New Song’. It’s the same one that they teased in their sneaky visual clip last week, and it’s a brilliantly bold departure from the haze of their self-titled second record.

“The doors were a little more open in terms of what was accepted and what wasn’t, because we were sharing ideas so rapidly between us,” says the band’s Stella Mozgawa in a press release.

“I feel really proud of what we made – almost surprised,” adds Jenny Lee Lindberg. “…it’s an evolution of our band. It sounds like a mature version of Warpaint”.
