ATTU finds bliss in mental bluster on ‘Staying Together’

For north Londoner ATTU - known to his mates as Stefan Antoinette - music is a way to seize control. It’s reflected in both his do-it-yourself process and the freeing, footloose nature of new single ‘Staying Together’.

In Stefan’s own words, ‘Staying Together’ is a track about “feeling you’re trying to make things work but you keep getting in your own way. Whether that’s friends or lovers. Sometimes it’s not the people around you having a difference of opinion, it’s you being in your own head too much.”

That in-your-head bluster is shifted to one side on ‘Staying Together’, breezy melodies offering a safe haven for those more anxious thoughts. By the time it blooms, Stefan sounds like he’s finally cut free of those mental shackles.
