Muse replace Kings Of Leon as final Mad Cool 2025 headliner
Matt Bellamy and co. are stepping in after a “freak accident” forced Kings Of Leon to cancel their upcoming UK/EU shows.
Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival has confirmed that none other than rock titans Muse will be this year’s Thursday headliner, replacing Kings Of Leon at the top of the bill on 10th July after the latter’s frontman Caleb Followill underwent emergency surgery following a “freak accident”.
The British band last graced the Villaverde main stage back in 2022, when they delivered a blistering set packed with big riffs and anthemic choruses - and now, they’re returning to deliver more of the same at what will be their only Spanish show this summer.
Elsewhere across the July weekender, crowds will be treated to performances from global superstars and fellow headliners Iggy Pop, Weezer, and Olivia Rodrigo, while DIY faves like St Vincent, Bloc Party, and recent In Deep digital cover star Blondshell are also set to appear.
Mad Cool 2025 will take place in the heart of Madrid this summer, from 10th to 12th July, with Brunch! Electronik x Mad Cool happening on Sunday 13th July. Head over to the Mad Cool website to grab tickets, and check out the full updated line-up below.
