Foals share making of ‘What Went Down’ film, ‘Crème Anglaise’
Kit Monteith-directed clip previews two new songs.
Foals have unveiled a short film, showing the behind-the-scenes workings for new album ‘What Went Down’. It’s called ‘Crème Anglaise’.
Given the talk around this LP - about how they took a trip to Southern France and drank the country’s entire wine stocks - the video is pretty much what you’d expect. Frontman Yannis Philippakis can be seen sitting in a dimly lit room with a typewriter, there’s a quick shot of a baby doll hanging off a basketball net, Yannis being Yannis again by taking photos with an SLR - there’s plenty of vests on display, too. It looks more like a holiday than an intense recording session.
Most importantly, the Kit Monteith-directed clip showcases two new Foals songs, both of which appear on the full-length. Watch below.
‘What Went Down’ is out 28th August. Foals play an intimate London Village Underground show on 25th August.
