Disclosure top mid-week albums chart with ‘Caracal’
New Order and Chvrches are also in the running for the top spot.
Last Friday (25th September) was one of the most packed release days in recent history, and Disclosure look set to make it two number ones out of two with ‘Caracal’, sitting at the top of the mid-week charts.
New Order are 7,000 copies behind in second place with ‘Music Complete’, while DIY’s October cover stars Chvrches sit in third place with ‘Every Open Eye’.
In the singles chart, Sam Smith looks set to claim the first number one for a James Bond theme song with ‘Writing’s On The Wall’.
Other new entries include Kurt Vile with ‘b’lieve i’m goin down…’ which currently sits at 22, Julia Holter, who is at 26 with ‘Have You In My Wilderness’ and Girl Band’s ‘Holding Hands With Jamie’ holds 73rd spot.
Last week’s chart battle was won by David Gilmour, whose new album ‘Rattle That Lock’ sits at #4 this week.
