Adele has tweeted about her new album

After this weekend’s crazy Adele extravaganza (otherwise known as 30 seconds of new material that sent the whole world doolally), she’s taken to Twitter to offer the first glimpse at the album’s backstory.

Check out the tweet and message below. In it she apologises for the delay in new material, explaining that “life happened.” Which in the grand scheme of things, is probably up there with “dog ate my album” in terms of Pretty Rubbish Excuses.

That 30 seconds of new material dropped as part of an X Factor ad break this weekend - nothing has been heard since. Fair to say that album’s gotta be coming any day now.
