Martha have a very jolly new video for ‘Ice Cream and Sunscreen’

Ahead of releasing their new album ‘Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart’ on Friday (8th July) Martha have got a very colourful new video for ‘Ice Cream and Sunscreen’.

Starting out in black and white, with a lovely game of tour bus musical chairs along the way, things soon burst into technicolour. The band don flowery head decorations, and use bright pink daisies as make-shift microphones. It’s all very jolly.

The Durham band’s second full-length is produced by Hookworms man and general studio desk-manning whizz MJ.

Speaking about ‘Ice Cream and Sunscreen in a press release, Martha say “it’s song about getting it bad and getting it wrong. Romanticising something that doesn’t exist. It’s an acknowledgement of some of the more murky places your mind goes when you’re figuring yourself out. Acting like a teenager (whatever that means) in your mid-twenties.”
