Getting The Smiths back together “doesn’t make sense anymore”, says Morrissey
Moz isn’t rekindling his partnership with Johnny Marr anytime soon.

The Smiths aren’t getting back together. That much has been clear for years, even more so now thanks to new comments from Morrissey, in which he claims the very idea of a reunion is pointless.
Speaking to News.com.au, Moz dismissed any antagonism between himself and Johnny Marr, stating: “It’s no longer a question of time or wounds, but simply that the issue is now so remote that the question doesn’t make sense any more.”
He also revealed that one song remains in The Smiths’ vault of unreleased material. “Only a cover of Elvis Presley’s ‘A Fool Such As I’. I don’t even have a copy of it, but I expect it will spring out one day … when I’m on a life-support machine,” he said.
Music wasn’t the only thing on the agenda. Morrissey also weighed in on the U.S. election. “It is obvious that America as a whole does not want either Thump or Clinton, and the November announcement of the new President will be a black cloud across America.”
Cheery stuff, thanks mate.
