The 1975’s bonkers light show has won an award
Designer Tobias G. Rylander has won the Knight Of Illumination award for his work on the band’s stage set up.
That enormous light show for The 1975’s current tour has won an award.
The Knight Of Illumination awards’ 2016 Aytron Award for stage lighting was awarded to Tobias G. Rylander this weekend for his work on the ‘I Like It When You Sleep…’ run’s bonkers stage set up.
Prior to working alongside 1975 frontman Matty Healy on the set-up, the Swedish-born designer teamed up with the likes of FKA Twigs, The XX, The Strokes and more. If you’re yet to experience it for yourself, The 1975’s award-winning light show also featured in their video for ‘UGH!’ (below).
