Year of the tiger
So, there’s a new St Vincent album on the way!
“I think it’ll be the deepest, boldest work I’ve ever done,” reckons Annie Clark.

A flurry of musical activity from Annie Clark was on our radars last year - in 2016 we clocked St Vincent in the studio with Top Dawg Entertainment producer Sounwave, and witnessed her perform several songs while dressed as a giant purple toilet. Now, the musician has confirmed that a new album is definitely in process, and better still, it’s due in 2017.
“I think it’ll be the deepest, boldest work I’ve ever done,” said Annie Clark, speaking to Guitar World. “I feel the playing field is really open for creative people to do whatever you want, and that risk will be rewarded – especially now that we have such high stakes from a political and geopolitical standpoint.”
This new record will follow on from St Vincent’s all-kinds-of-incredible self titled album, which came out in 2014.
