Julian Casablancas + The Voidz Discuss, Preview Music In Video Interview
Watch Julian and co. lift their lid on their universal” new album.”

Filmed on a VHS aesthetic and mostly showing Julian Casablancas being carted around a city by his bandmate, a new video interview lifts the lid on the Strokes frontman’s new band.
Julian Casablancas + The Voidz are introduced in an eight-minute long video, containing new music and plenty of conversation about a debut album out this summer.
Amongst other things, Julian calls the new album a ‘sad’, ‘universal’ record and insists he formed the band just like any other band would, by stumbling across talented musicians. The ‘Voidz’ part of the name refers to music that modern day musicians haven’t yet tapped into. Designated driver and band guitarist Jeramy Gritter backs up by saying: ‘It sounds like music of our time.’
