Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ Storms iTunes Chart After Brits Performance

Amazing what a bit of prime time telly can do, isn’t it? If you watched this week’s Brit Awards, you’ll no doubt remember Adele’s pretty damn stunning performance of ‘Someone Like You’. A startlingly strong, almost gimmick free showing of piano and voice, the track is now making a double sales surge.

Even though the awards themselves managed to pull in less viewers than Channel 4’s My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, the live performance of the track is currently sitting pretty at #1 in the iTunes charts, with the album version at #4. Current single and airwave behemoth ‘Rolling In The Deep’ sits at #5, begging the question just how much is radio play actually worth when one TV showing can do this?
