Arcade Fire Release Statement About World Tour “Dress Code”
Band statement calls the policy super not mandatory”, tells people to chill the hell out.”

A mild, gentle gust of wind disguising itself as extreme outrage has swept across the ‘online world’ this week, following news that Arcade Fire’s newly introduced smart/ fancy ‘dress code’ would be applied to next year’s world tour shows, which now include London Earls Court.
Questions over whether the ‘dress code’ was mandatory have caused such concern for a small number of Arcade Fire fans that the band have been forced into releasing a statement. They deny that the code’s mandatory - they just stress that it’s, y’know, a bit of fun for those who fancy joining in.
A statement on the band’s Facebook page states the following:
‘To everyone really upset about us asking people to dress up at our shows… please relax. It’s super not mandatory. It just makes for a more fun carnival when we are all in it together. So far these have been the best shows we have ever played.
See you soon.
Love,
Arcade Fire.’
Arcade Fire’s ‘Reflektor’ is out now. Remaining tickets for their world tour are available here.
