U2 have been hard at work on the follow-up to the mixed bag that was ‘No Line On The Horizon’. Danger Mouse has reportedly been producing the record since 2010 (though Brian Burton’s got his own Broken Bells record to worry about right now) and it looks like Bono and co are ready to share their 13th studio album.
They’re set to announce their 2014 full-length via a Superbowl advert, according to Billboard. Based on reports, the band are in talks to find a sponsor for the announcement, which shouldn’t prove too tricky.
The album was mostly recorded in New York’s Electric Lady Studios - it’s tentatively due out in April 2014.
U2’s most recent material came in the form of ‘Ordinary Love’, a song to soundtrack the film ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’.
