30 Seconds To Mars Set To Go On Hiatus In 2012?

Jared Leto’s band are unsure at what the future holds…

30 Seconds To Mars have hinted that they could be taking an extended break.

The band, fronted by megastar Jared Leto, were recently interviewed by MTV Canada where they confirmed that the trio had no real plans beyond their current world tour.

Drummer Shannon Leto had joked that the band were ‘broken down’ after years of recording and touring non-stop, but frontman Jared recently confirmed in an interview that the band had no concrete plans after their current jaunt across the globe, which is set to finish this December.

‘When I start a new record you need the time, energy and space to appropriately address it,’ he told rock weekly Kerrang! ‘We’re talking about it right now, but you never know, there could not be another record.’

The band are still on the road with current album ‘This Is War’, released in late 2009. They will have been promoting the album for over 18 months come the tour’s culmination at the end of the year.

The trio head to this year’s Reading and Leeds festival in August - a handful of tickets are still available from the links below.
