30 Seconds To Mars Unlikely To Split
The band say that there was no truth to the rumours circulating.

Last year, rumours were rife with the news that 30 Seconds To Mars would split following their mammoth, record-breaking world tour. However, this week, the band have claimed that there is no truth to those whispers.
When DIY chatted to the band last year, they insisted that they were simply concentrating on ‘staying in the moment right now.’
In a recent interview with Kerrang! magazine, frontman Jared Leto backed this comment up, by saying: ‘We don’t know what the future has to hold, but we know we’re excited about it and this tour has been the gift of a lifetime. It’s been a journey that we’ll always look back on, as one of the most informative and fulfilling experiences of our lives. I think there has been a question mark there for all of us. In part because people started to ask us so much about the future and our reaction is, ‘Well, let’s talk about the here and now’. Which is important to us.’
And whilst that doesn’t sound entirely optimistic, his brother and drummer Shannon Leto did settle our worries by adding: ‘We’ve never said this is ‘the end.’
The band, who stormed Reading and Leeds Festival last year, recently finished their 300th date of their epic ‘This Is War’ world tour back in December, breaking into the Guiness Book of World Records.
If you missed it the first time around, DIY got the chance to speak to 30 Seconds To Mars before their Reading performance last year. Check out our interview with the band and a video snippet below.
