Alex Turner: Arctic Monkeys Want Another Shot At Glastonbury Headline Slot

Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner wants to band to have another chance to headline Glastonbury festival.

Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner wants to band to have another chance to headline Glastonbury festival.

The band last headlined the Pyramid Stage in 2007, and the frontman wants ‘another shot’ in the future.

Speaking to GQ the frontman revealed: ‘I’d really like another shot at headling Glastonbury. I don’t think we got that quite right when we did it.’

Speaking about the (relatively) recent solo soundtrack to the film Submarine, Turner explained: ‘The Submarine soundtrack wasn’t me having aspirations to make a solo record and conquer the fucking world. My friend, Richard (Ayoade), had directed this wonderful film and he asked me to first of all do a few covers for it, and then it turned into a couple of original songs, and they weren’t going anywhere in an Arctic Monkeys sorta world.’
