Animal Collective air 24-minute practice session
Group’s early 2015 “jam” was the first step towards their new album.
Animal Collective are expected to release the follow-up to 2012’s ‘Centipede Hz’ in 2016, and the group have now shared audio from their first practice session of this year.
Taking place back on 12th May, the 24-minute recording was the first time all members had downed tools from their various solo projects and got back in the same room. It was their first session in eighteen months.
Streaming below, the recording is backed by footage SCUBA diving, shot by Colin Foord of Coral Morphologic and Animal Collective’s own Deakin and Geologist.
