Animal Collective Announce Psychedelic Art Show
Animal Collective are to take part in a ‘psychedelic’ art show at New York’s Guggenheim Museum.

Taking place on March 4th, the event celebrates the museums 50th anniversary. A collaboration between the band and Danny Perez, ‘Transverse Temporal Gyrus’ will feature music recorded specifically for the performance.

“As New Yorkers we are all familiar with the everyday noise around us,” the band said. “We wanted to create an environment where people could take some time to listen to other kinds of sounds and get away from those familiar sounds of the city.”

We’re not sure, but we think Animal Collective think all New Yorkers are some kind of mystical seer race.

Tickets for the three hour (THREE HOURS!? - Ed) show go on sale for museum members at 10am EST today, and for non members at the same time tomorrow.
