Anna Calvi announces one-off end of 2014 London show
Mercury Prize nominee plays St John’s Church this December.
Mercury Prize 2014 nominee Anna Calvi has announced plans to play a special, one-off gig in London to round off the year.
The show takes place on Saturday 13th December at St. John’s Church in Hackney. Calvi’s set to perform alongside the Heritage Orchestra for the second time - previously, she worked with them for a show in Sydney Opera House.
Alongside the end-of-year show, Anna Calvi’s been selected by Morrissey to support him on his European tour.
Tickets for the St John’s Church show go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday 7th) at 9am.
Calvi’s 2013 album ‘One Breath’ is among the nominees for this year’s Mercury Prize - see DIY’s guide to all the selected albums here.
